Creative Company earns international recognition

News release: Creative Company earns a bronze Summit International Award

MCMINNVILLE, OR: Creative Company, Inc. is a bronze award winner in the 2011 Summit Creative Awards® competition. The award is for Creative Company’s holiday self promotion, a series of four letterpress-printed drink coasters. An international panel of judges chose Creative Company’s entry from thousands of submissions from 22 countries.

The Summit Creative Awards recognizes and celebrates the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized advertising agencies and other creative groups with annual billings under $30 million. Over the last seventeen years, the competition has established itself as the premier arbiter of creative excellence for firms of this size and has become a coveted honor worth touting.

Entries in 23 major categories are judged against a stringent set of standards. During the blind judging, judges search for innovative and creative concepts, strong executions and the ability to communicate and persuade.

We brainstormed together, developed message and layout ideas, critiqued and finalized. Thanks to Steve Donatelli for his design work, Mikki Trowbridge for her copy concepts and Mike Pemberton for coordinating the final production details. The result was one of our best self-promotions ever!”

The company followed up the New Years promotional mailing by posting the images on their website’s home page and creating a Brand Responsibly manifesto, available for download from the website.

Printed by McMinnville-based Type A Press on thick specialized stock, the letterpress technique provided texture and dimension to the coasters. The series of four were mailed to clients and vendors with a cover note signed by the staff.
